🚘 GNR at the Wayzata American Legion

Join the Great Northern Region for a relaxed Sunday afternoon at the Wayzata American Legion — part casual car gathering, part social hour, part yacht rock patio hang with DJ Roger That.

This event is being made possible thanks to newly returning members Adam Elg and Roger Miller, whose relationship with the American Legion helped us create a fun new July gathering for GNR.

🚗 Cars!

The American Legion is marking off approximately 20 spaces for GNR, giving us a dedicated area to gather, park together, and enjoy each other’s cars.

• Plan to arrive beginning at 2:00 PM
• GNR will have a reserved parking area for approximately 20 vehicles
• This is a casual show-and-social format, not a judged show
• No beverages are allowed in the parking lot

🍻 Food, Drinks & Social Time

The plan is to enjoy the cars, then gather together for food, drinks, and conversation. If the weather is nice and the patio is comfortable, we’ll meet on the patio around 3:00 PM. If the weather is inclement, or if smoking on the patio makes it less comfortable for our group, we’ll gather inside instead.

• Patio gathering planned around 3:00 PM if weather and conditions allow
• Indoor bar and restaurant space available as our backup gathering spot
• Kitchen is not open, but bar pizza is available
• Beverages are available for purchase inside at the Legion

🎶 What to Expect

We are planning an easygoing Sunday afternoon with GNR cars out front, friendly conversation, beverages, and a little yacht rock energy to keep things breezy.

• DJ Roger That will supply the tunes
• 3:00 PM meat raffle (not affiliated with the Great Northern Region)
• A third-party veggie stand is typically on site in the parking lot

📝 Good to Know

• Use the address 949 Wayzata Blvd — not East Wayzata Blvd
• Some construction may be present on Hwy 394/Hwy 12, though Sunday traffic should be manageable
• No beverages are allowed in the parking lot
• Smoking is allowed on the patio
